RTS Announces Winners for Television Journalism Awards 2014
The winners of this year's Royal Television Society North West Awards are:
The RTS has announced the winner of the annual RTS Young Technologist Award, which is presented in memory of A.M. Beresford-Cooke.Daniel Cherowbrier, Business Manager, Arqiva, was chosen to receive the award by a panel of judges chaired by Terry Marsh, Digital Media Consultant. Daniel is a graduate of Ravensbourne College with a BSc (Hons) Broadcast Technology.

A new biography of A A Campbell Swinton, by Dr Paul Marshall
It’s now 30 years since the Royal Television Society published Tony Bridgewater’s monograph on all-electronic television visionary Alan Archibald Campbell Swinton. The name is not one that the general public associates with the invention of television. Even in his homeland of Britain he has been over-shadowed by the very well documented and more biographically interesting figure of John Logie Baird.
