Here's a round-up of the best of this week's TV including gruelling endurance series Secret Agent Selection: WW2  on BBC Two, the hotly anticipated Lost in Space reboot on Netflix and Harry Hill's Alien Fun Capsule on ITV1.

Auction

Monday: Sky Arts, 7pm

From masterpieces of art to personal letters and artefacts, there’s sure to be a lot of money changing hands and this is a first class view of a world most mere mortals can only dream of. This season sees a rare Picasso go under the hammer.

Secret Agent Selection WW2

Monday: BBC Two, 9pm

The first in a five-part series of “immersive living history” features 14 civilians completing one of the most rigorous training programmes of the Second World War, that of the covert organisation, Special Operations Executive (SOE) .

Participants are from a diverse range of backgrounds, including a former police officer, a drag performer and a research scientist. This episode covers the gruelling selection process of physical and mental challenges, in an intense four-day foray into the remote Scottish Highlands. Will any of the contenders have what it takes?

Made in Yorkshire

Tuesday: Channel 5, 9pm

Former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott dons a blue hair net for an exploration of the manufacturing process of some of the North’s best loved foodstuffs; chocolate and sausages. From visiting factories and chatting with production line workers to spilling facts and figures, expect some awkward banter and maybe the best job in town, Quality Control Manager…whose job it is to taste the chocolate up to 15 times an hour.

WTA Tennis

Tuesday: BT Sport 1, 4pm

The WTA Bogotá Open in Columbia features some of the finest women tennis players competing on clay, with former champion Irina Falconi looking to make a comeback.

Europa League Football: Arsenal vs CSKA Moscow

Thursday: BT Sport 2, 7.30pm

The Europa League quarter final features sees Arsenal face-off against CSKA Moscow, with Arsenal already taking a three-goal advantage from their previous match, in what is sure to be one of the most heated rounds of the season.

Lost in Space

Friday: Netflix

In its newest incarnation, cult classic Lost in Space, looks set to be one of the smash hits for Netflix this year, combining a healthy dose of nostalgia, hopefully some “Danger Will Robinsons!” and the latest in big budget Netflix CGI. Following on from in-house post-apocalyptic Annihilation, released earlier this year, it promises family fun, alien adventure and one of the most terrifying robots we’ve ever seen.

Harry Hill’s Alien Fun Capsule

Saturday: ITV1, 7.30pm

In a similar vein to Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Alien Fun Capsule is full of the same shenanigans, but this time in the format of a panel show, involving an alien invasion.

Now in its second season, Hill pits guests against each other to fill his “alien fun capsule” with funny things to convince our impending alien overlords that the Earth is worth saving. Expect oversized props, situational comedy and, of course, aliens.
