From iconic comedy double acts to an inside look of one of London's busiest train stations, here's our TV picks for today.

Morecambe & Wise in America

Jonathan Ross hosts new documentary Morecambe & Wise in America, which will focus on the comedy double act’s attempt to break America.

Iconic duo Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise’s working relationship is explored in this three-part series, which features over an hour’s worth of footage never seen before in the UK. Morecambe & Wise in America follows the pair on a series of trips they made to appear on one of the USA’s largest variety show, The Ed Sullivan Show.

 

Travel Man: 96 Hours in Jordan

Channel 4, 9.00pm

Comedians Richard Ayoade and David Baddiel head to Jordan for four hectic days, starting with a visit to the gold souk, where they track down a box of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

The pair explore the desert and the Dead Sea, scale Mount Nebo and visit the ancient city of Petra.

 

Paddington Station 24/7 at Christmas

Channel 5, 8.00pm

Another festive documentary, Paddington Station 24/7 at Christmas, reveals the struggles staff went through in 2017 when the station closed early on 23rd December for engineering projects in Oxford and Swindon.

This year, as engineering works take place on Christmas Day, construction teams have agreed with local churches not to start until after morning services have finished, and must take a break at 3pm to allow residents to listen to the Queen’s Speech in peace.

 

Fortitude finale 

Sky Atlantic, 9.00pm

The final episode of the fourth season of icy thriller Fortitude follows two police officers in a fictional settlement in Arctic Norway, as they help fight off dark and supernatural forces.

Richard Dormer returns as Sheriff Dan Anderson who still suffering from the effects of parasitic wasps and is under investigation for the lynching of governor Erling Munk.
