Gavin & Stacey’s Christmas special is a bittersweet one this year. Yes, we get to see our favourite vegetarian (Pam), see just how on the rocks Dawn and Pete are, and find out the answer to that all important question… but we also have to say goodbye, for real this time. Luckily, Ruth Jones and James Corden have come with a parting gift – a documentary showing the final days of filming. Featuring behind the scenes content, celebrity fans and more, Gavin & Stacey is definitely going out with a bang.

The Traitors

BBC One, 8.00pm

What better way is there to ring in 2025 than with the new series of The Traitors? With an all-new cast yet to be revealed, let’s hope series three brings more hall-of-fame characters like Diane and Ross, archvillain Paul and, of course, Jazatha Christie.

SAS Rogue Heroes

BBC One, 9.00pm

Steven Knight’s drama following the origins of the Special Air Service returns. Where series one took place in Cairo, this time round, the action pivots to Europe.

In Spring 1943, SAS leader David Stirling (Connor Swindells, Barbie) remains captured, leaving Paddy Mayne (Jack O'Connell, This Is England) to take the reins. As well as working in new terrain, the SAS has to contend with the arrival of a second unit. Can the men prove they’re still essential to the war effort?

Gogglebox Festive Special

Channel 4, 9.00pm

You’d be forgiven for not watching everything on offer this festive period. Thankfully, the Goggleboxers are here to provide a snapshot of the best Christmas telly. Expect to hear a mix of incisive analysis and taking the piss from the show’s regulars, including the Siddiqui, Malone, Plummer and Worthington families. There’s also Giles and Mary’s immaculate interior design to look forward to.
