Netflix has released a trailer for the fourth series of its hit sci-fi horror series Stranger Things, from the Duffer brothers.
Split into two parts, the penultimate series looks set to be its wildest one yet, with the Hawkins gang heading to all-out war against the creatures of the Upside Down.
The teenage gang of Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Calen McLaughlin) and Max (Sadie Sink) are entering high school, while Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Will (Noah Schnapp) have been relocated with the rest of the Byers family to California. The crew must uncover the mysteries of a haunted house in Hawkins which threatens to unleash more terror on the cursed town.
Hopper, who was revealed to have survived the horrors of last series' finale in a teaser released by Netflix back in 2020, has been interned in a prison camp in Russia, where he is being forced to defend himself against more Demogorgons.
Meanwhile, Eleven is approached by a government agent, urging her that without her help, the Government has no chance of winning the war against the supernatural.
The series also sees the return of Winona Ryder, Natalie Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Cara Buono, Priah Ferguson and Brett Gelman.
The final shock reveal of the trailer shows a White-Walker-esque Demogorgan-human hybrid that can speak.
The first volume of Stranger Things will premiere on Netflix on 27 May, with the second part released on 1 July.
