New game show, Hush Money, promises to be both a physical and psychological test, putting groups of friends through their paces by entering them into the Hush Money chambers.
The series – set to air on BBC Three later this year – will see teams of friends faced with four individual chambers, each containing a series of challenges.
Starting the game with £5,000 in prize money, the team must endure a series of shocks, surprises and scares as they complete the various challenges.
Each chamber will elicit a reaction from the team, from blood curdling screams, to shouts of joy, but each time one of the group screams, the prize money drops.
The amount of money they win will depend on how much they scream, as they try to navigate the twists and turns whilst holding their nerve.
Each team will see just how good their friendships are, as they try to make it though the chambers and not let their team down.
Rachel Ashdown, commissioning editor of the BBC, described the format as “fresh” and that contestants "are guaranteed an experience to remember!"
Simon Knight, CEO of Maverick Television, said: “Heart-stopping… thrilling… joyous… this show is irresistible for groups of friends who like to take on a challenge together. We can’t wait to put people’s nerves to the ultimate test.”
