The programme is backed by major broadcasters
The new Creative Skillset Series Producer Programme is open for applications, offering the opportunity to make the leap from Producer to Series Producer.
Backed by the BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5, this year-long scheme will find the next generation of SPs to help the industry advance and grow.
It offers unrivalled training by experts in the industry, as well as placements at broadcasters and first-rate mentoring by industry leaders. The programme will develop participants skills in everything from storytelling and scripting, to engaging with new audiences across new and evolving platforms, and promises to build delegates' networks, particularly at a channel level.
Former Head of the BBC's College of Production Donna Taberer, who will lead the Series Producer Programme, promised to "give delegates the skills, knowledge and networks to step up to that role with confidence."
Applications are due to close on 5 January 2015. There are open days happening on 7 and 9 December to meet potential candidates and answer any questions. Applications are welcomed from new or aspiring Series Producers with a minimum of three years' experience at a Producer level.
