Production has officially started in the UK on the second series of Netflix’s hit queer, coming-of-age romance series, Heartstopper.
Based on Alice Oseman’s best-selling graphic novels of the same name, Heartstopper follows the close high school friendship between Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke) that blossoms into a burgeoning romance.
All lead cast members will return for series two, including Kit Connor, Joe Locke, Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Sebastian Croft, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood and Jenny Walser.
Joining the cast will be Leila Khan as Higgs student Sahar Zahid, Jack Bartin as Nick’s older brother David Nelson, Nima Taleghani as Truham teacher Mr. Farouk, and Bradley Riches, who previously played a student in series one, will play Truham student James McEwan.
While series two begins production, it has already been confirmed that Heartstopper will return for a third series.
