The BBC and HBO have released first-look images from the third series of high-stakes, high finance drama Industry.
The first series plunged viewers headfirst into the dizzying world of Pierpoint & Co, a leading investment bank. Deals on the London office’s trading floor are made on a dime, and rake in millions.
Just as intense as the work is the lifestyle. Drugs, sex and drinking collide with equities portfolios. Anyone who doesn’t keep up – in any department – risks failure, which in this world is unthinkable.
Series three sees Pierpoint bet big on so-called ethical investing, bringing the bank into the orbit of green energy titan Sir Henry Muck, played by Kit Harington (Game of Thrones).
Returning for the third series are Myha'la Herrold (Bodies Bodies Bodies) as Harper and Marisa Abela (Back to Black) as Yasmin. Harry Lawtey (The Letter for the King) returns to play Robert and Ken Leung (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) Eric.
The second series followed the merger of Pierpoint’s New York and London offices. As the young bankers look to save their skin ahead of upcoming redundancies, things get increasingly desperate. Harper begins insider trading to keep a client sweet, before Eric reveals her secret – that her college transcripts were faked – and fires her.
The third series will air later in 2024 on BBC One, and will also be available on BBC iPlayer.
