SAS: Who Dares Wins star Jason Fox returns to the country where he endured multiple tours as part of the Special Forces.

Return To Afghanistan With Jason Fox (w/t) follows Fox as he embarks on a personal journey back to Afghanistan to gain a better understanding of the complex country and determine if the sacrifices were worth the legacy the conflict has left behind.

The elite Special Forces soldier will encounter former enemies, old friends and revisit where he developed Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder after harrowing combat experiences, causing him to leave behind a career he loved.

“Afghanistan defined me as a soldier and made me the man I am today,” said Jason Fox.

“We spent many years there fighting in a war that saw some of the fiercest battles in modern British military history.”

“I saw friends get killed and seriously injured and it had a massive impact on not just me, but so many other people.”

“I felt it was important to go back and put some of those demons to rest.”

“As civilians we want our soldiers to never get hurt or feel pain,” added Jonah Weston, Channel 4 Commissioning Editor.

“Unfortunately war is a little more complex than that, and as Jason revisits his past, I hope it will give us all a better understanding of combat and its true complexities.”
