The BBC has released first look pictures of The Tourist series two, which show Jamie Dornan and Danielle Macdonald's Elliot and Helen taking their investigation to Ireland.
In series one, we joined The Man, who we now know is Elliot Stanley, just before he suffered complete memory loss after being driven off the road by a truck.
Together with probationary constable Helen Chambers, who first questioned Elliot about the crash, they set off on a search for his identity.
By the end, however, Elliot was wracked with guilt having made some damning revelations in regards to his life before the crash, which also turned Helen away.
The new images feature both Dornan and Macdonald reprising their roles in Ireland, where they are said to be confronted by friends and foes as they continue to unearth the secrets of Elliot's past.
As they are dragged into a long-running family feud, a host of new characters are introduced, including Detective Ruairi Slater (Conor MacNeill, Industry), Niamh Cassidy (Olwen Fouéré, Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and the McDonnell family – Donal (Diarmaid Murtagh, Vikings), Orla (Nessa Matthews, Fair City), Fergal (Mark McKenna, Sing Street), and Frank (Francis Magee, Kin).
The BBC has promised another twist-laden series and more of the same off-beat comedy that won over 11.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched drama of 2022 across all platforms.
Harry and Jack Williams have returned to create and write the series, while Fergus O'Brien (Happy Valley) directs the first block with Lisa Mulcahy (Blood) and Kate Dolan (Kin) directs block two and three respectively.
