ITV has recommissioned Deal or No Deal, presented by Stephen Mulhern (Dancing on Ice), following its debut on ITV1 in November 2023.
The game show is now set to return to ITV1 and ITVX, along with four celebrity specials.
The show is produced by Remarkable Entertainment, a Banijay UK company, and sees contestants try to win a cash prize as they test their luck against the devious Banker.
“I am absolutely over the moon that Deal or No Deal is returning to our screens,” said Mulhern. “The response has been incredible and series one was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. I loved it! The contestants were a fantastic bunch facing the Banker and our new batch of players need to hold their nerve if they want to walk away with the huge jackpot!”
“We were absolutely blown away by how much love there was for the show,” said Tamara Gilder, joint managing director for Remarkable Entertainment. “We can’t wait to make some more with the wonderful Stephen. Less so that Banker guy.”
The show is based on a Dutch format, like multiple other reality and gameshows, including The Traitors, Big Brother and The Voice. In the UK, Deal or No Deal originally aired on Channel 4 from 2005-16.
