Prime Video has released a first look at Mammals, a new darkly comedic drama written by Jez Butterworth (Jerusalem) and starring James Corden.

In a world of eight billion, what happens after you’ve found the one? Can we stick to the promises we strove to keep, or are we all just mere Mammals? Butterworth's comedy-drama explores the complexity of modern marriage and fidelity through the eyes of Jamie (James Corden), a chef whose world implodes when he uncovers shocking secrets about his pregnant wife, Amandine (Melia Kreiling, Filthy Rich).

With the help of his brother-in-law Jeff (Colin Morgan, Belfast), Jamie finds himself hunting for answers.

Through the hunt, however, cracks in Jeff’s marriage to Jamie’s sister Lue (Sally Hawkins, Spencer) begin to widen.

Directed by Stephanie Lang (Made for Love), Mammals promises to explore the sadness, grief, tension, love and friendship at the heart of modern marriage with a flurry of magical realism.

Mammals will launch worldwide on Prime Video on 11 November.
