E4 has commissioned a feature-length reality show from indie filmmakers 7 Wonder.

The 60 minute programme, titled 24 Billion Pound Party People, follows a group of wealthy young socialites as they throw parties around the world. Production company 7 Wonder said it is the first time E4 has fused the genres of documentary and reality to create a 'factuality' show.

The news follows chief creative officer Jay Hunt's speech at the British Museum, where she outlined the network's commitment to improving relationships with indies. "I don't think any indies will tell you they remember a time they walked into a broadcaster, put a piece of paper on the table and someone leant over and wrote a cheque," said Hunt. "That's exactly as it should be."
