Giving back to the industry that made him, the French maître d’ will recruit 10 young people for tough roles in a high-end hotel.

Located on the French Riviera in the area where Fred himself trained as a youngster, the team will cater for demanding clientele from around the world.

Across the eight episodes, the recruits must abide by strict rules and face all types of challenges to live up to the hotel and Fred’s high standards. If they make it to the end, they will learn invaluable life skills, and one will also receive a life-changing internship at a top tier hospitality group. But if they don’t step up to the plate, Fred may have to say “au revoir.”

Karl Warner, Head of Youth and Digital at Channel 4 said: “Viewers are going to be treated to seeing Fred like never before.
