Channel 5 expands pre-school content

Among the new commissions includes Milkshake! Monkey’s Amazing Adventures, which follows iconic character Milkshake! Monkey as he visits various locations across the UK to learn about the geography and history of the country.

The channel has also announced six potential projects in development for Milkshake! and for the Young Audiences Contestable fund.

Milkshake! also announced a strong commitment to develop content from the UK and has confirmed more investment to boost UK commissions on the channel to 300 programmes by 2021.

New series of Peppa Pig in the works

The 117 new episodes will bring the total number of Peppa Pig episodes to a staggering 381, which will be broadcast globally in 180 countries from Spring 2019 and will provide Peppa Pig content at least four years. 

The animated series, produced by award-winning Astley Baker Davies, follows the adventures of Peppa Pig and her family and animal friends as she experiences day to day activities, including going to the park, attending playgroup, going swimming, going on holiday and visiting family.
