Paul Whitehouse

And away! BBC recommissions Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing for eighth series

Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse sit next to each other by a lake, looking into the camera and smiling, with Mortimer taking his hat off in friendly greeting

The six-part series will reunite comedians Bob Mortimer (Vic Reeves Big Night Out) and Paul Whitehouse (The Death of Stalin) to explore more of Britain’s lakes, rivers and canals. Along the way, there’ll be the trademark blend of laughs and heartfelt discussion.

This time round, the show will be even more personal. Each location has been chosen because it has a connection to Mortimer or Whitehouse’s life.

Ted, a Patterdale Terrier and another mainstay of the show, will also be returning to wreak havoc on the boys’ fishing plans.
