For comedian Rose Matafeo’s friend, this actually happened. “I’ll never reveal who it was, it’s like a blind item on Deuxmoi,” Matafeo slyly grins, referring to the Instagram page notorious for posting cryptic celebrity gossip.
The anecdote became a key inspiration behind her new romcom series Starstruck, in which Matafeo plays Jessie, a 28-year-old New Zealander living in London who discovers the morning after a one-night stand that she has just slept with a famous film star.
In an online panel discussion TV execs will reveal the extraordinary lengths production crews had to go to in order to maintain social distancing on set and ensure TV viewers could keep on watching their favourites.
In this session, actor Toby Jones, director Sam Miller, writer Robert Jones and executive producer Sue Horth will discuss the making of factual drama Danny Boy - the story of a young man’s journey from medal-winning hero to alleged killer, and his search for truth in the fog of war. We also hope that actor Anthony Boyle will be able to join us, dependent on his filming schedule.
In this session chaired by Rhianna Dhillon stars Tchéky Karyo, Fiona Shaw, and writers Harry and Jack Williams will discuss the hit series and just what to expect in this upcoming series.
Featuring an exclusive preview of the opening episode, this promises to be an event not to be missed.

The RTS West of England Awards is the only annual celebration of the region’s creative community and this year the region has again welcomed the work from the RTS Devon and Cornwall centre.
