The Game of Thrones prequel released with a bang back in 2022, not just because of its incestuous relationships and world building, but also due to its star Emma D’Arcy saying “a negroni… sbagliato… with some prosecco in it.”

The actual show doesn’t allot much time for sipping cocktails, as childhood friends Rhaenyra Targaryen (D’Arcy) and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) are at each other’s throats in a bloody battle for the Iron Throne. In series two these tensions have grown into the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons, and now everyone must pick a side.

Queen collaborator Adam Lambert examines how early LGBTQIA+ rock and pop stars fought for a seat at the table in the music industry in a new documentary.

Through interviews with Queen’s Brian May, MNEK, and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez – who became the first trans woman to win a golden globe for her performance in Pose – Lambert will discover changing attitudes to queer people in the music industry, and how they paved the way to acceptance.

Joey King and Logan Lerman star as Halina and Addy Kurc, two siblings from a Polish Jewish family separated at the beginning of WW2.

Although their position as a powerful and successful household protected them when antisemitism first sunk its claws in, as the Nazis descend on Poland, they are forced out of their home. Halina and Addy end up spread around the world determined to find their way back together, in this unbelievable true story.

Doctor Who: Empire Of Death

The Legend of Ruby Sunday kicked off the finale of the 14^th series of Doctor Who, answering long held questions and confirming fan theories, but still drawing towards a dramatic cliff hanger.

The Celestial Toymaker (Neil Patrick Harris, How I Met Your Mother) first mentioned the ‘One Who Waits’ in the 60^th anniversary episodes, and now it seems the mysterious destroyer of all living things (also known as Sutekh) will return. Described by the Toymaker as “the only player [the Doctor] dares not to challenge,” the 15^th Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa, Sex Education) will have to finally face up to the ageless alien, who has lay dormant since its first appearance in 1975.

Suranne Jones: Investigating Witch Trials

Suranne Jones, known for uncovering the hidden history of Victorian lesbian diarist Anne Lister’s in Gentleman Jack, turns her attention towards the historic persecution of women in witch trials.

Instead of using her acting talents, Jones will lead the documentary series. Through her research she will take viewers from Pendle, Lancashire to Salem, Massachusetts to Bamberg, Germany, where she will learn about the massacre of 1000 witches, persecuted only because of a lack of harvest.
