The BBC has revealed the line-up of guest stars for the second series of Daisy May Cooper (This Country) and Selin Hizli’s (Things You Should Have Done) sitcom Am I Being Unreasonable?, along with first-look images.
Chelsea Peretti (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Tom Davis (Wonka), Denise Black (Queer as Folk), Jamali Maddix (Never Mind the Buzzcocks) and rapper Kojey Radical will all be making appearances. They’ll be joined by Charlie Cooper, in his first onscreen reunion with This Country co-star Daisy May Cooper.
Series one saw Nic (May Cooper) and Jen (Hizli) become friends while Nic grieves a loss, and Jen guards a secret. The finale ended on the revelation that Nic killed the partner she has been mourning (Alex, played by David Fynn, Undateable). As series two unfolds, will she continue to get away with murder?
Returning to the show are Lenny Rush (Doctor Who), Dustin Demri-Burns (Slow Horses), David Fynn (Daddy Issues), Juliet Cowan (Back to Life) and Phil Dunning (Smoggie Queens). Beatie Edney (Poldark), Georgie Glenn (Call the Midwife), Amanda Wilkin (The Split), Helen Ann Bauer (Live at the Apollo), Marek Larwood (We Are Klang) and Karla Crome (Under the Dome) will also be reprising their roles.
“If you thought Lenny Rush’s BAFTA-winning performance upstaged me in series one, wait until you see his performance completely upstage me in series two where you will be left wondering whether I was even in it at all.... livid,” said Daisy May Cooper.
“God bless the BBC and everyone involved for letting us have another twisted turn at this sometimes dark, sometimes funny and always mad story,” said Selin Hizli. “It’s been a joy and a privilege to get back into the world of AIBU and we hope everyone loves watching it as much as we’ve loved making it.”
Series two will air on BBC One and be available on iPlayer in 2025.
