ITV confirms the famous faces taking part in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! 2022.

After a two-year hiatus from Australia, the series is returning home and a new group of celebrities will be leaving their lives of luxury behind to spend three weeks in the Australian jungle.

Iconic presenting duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will return to co-host and watch the celebrities battle it out to be crowned King or Queen of the jungle.

Here is the celebrity line-up for this year:

Boy George

Veteran popstar Boy George soared to fame as the lead singer of the band Culture Club, known for hit songs ‘Karma Chameleon’ and ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me’.

George describes his biggest fear as being scared and is not looking forward to competing in the trials, but he will try to win stars for everyone.

“I think I will be the in-house dietician when I am in the camp because I will be telling everyone they aren’t going to let us starve. I will be telling everyone to calm down.”

Sue Cleaver

Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver declared she wanted to “shake things up” by taking part in the show before her 60th birthday.

Cleaver joined Coronation Street 22 years ago as Eileen and with cameras on her 24/7 she hopes viewers won’t prefer her soap character to the real her.

“I do keep my life private and I am very happy with my home life,” Cleaver said.

"Viewers are going to see a different person to the person they think I am! I am very different. That can be worrying.”

Owen Warner

Hollyoaks star Owen Warner is not afraid of any upcoming jungle trials and has even told his family and friends to vote for him to do every single one.

His biggest worry is not getting his twice weekly haircut, plus his phobia of snakes.

He said: “Hopefully I won’t get wound up by everyone. If someone is out of order, then I will say something. But I don’t want it to cause any tension and hopefully they will stop. I don’t think I will cry either in the jungle but then again I cry at most films and sometimes even new food.”

Scarlette Douglas

TV presenter and property expert Scarlette Douglas used to present A Place in the Sun and recently fronted the property show Worst House on the Street.

Apart from a massive fear of spiders, Douglas thinks the hardest part of being in the jungle will not being able to talk to her parents, who she normally calls four times a day.

After being told by people in the past that she wouldn’t succeed in life, Douglas would love to be crowned Queen of the jungle to prove all the doubters wrong.

“If I were crowned Queen of the jungle, it would be such a big moment for me.”

She added: “I am dreading any trial involving spiders and I am also dreading the food trial. It’s going to be hard too not being able to bring my seasoning into camp but I want to prove to everyone I can smash it.”

Mike Tindall MBE

Ex-England rugby player Mike Tindall will be the first member of the Royal Family to enter the jungle and expects that he’ll get voted to do a lot of the famous trials.

Tindall is married to Princess Anne’s daughter Zara and is sure that once his rugby friends discover he is on the programme, they will be quick to get on the phone and make sure he does as many trials as possible.

Tindall said: “I am fully aware that anyone who has ever played rugby will go, ‘Yeah let’s stitch him up’

“All my friendship group has that sort of humour and I know they will definitely want to vote for me! I am prepared to do quite a lot of challenges.”

Charlene White

TV presenter and journalist Charlene White is best known as the presenter of the 6pm ITV News and Loose Women.

She is ready to use her time in the jungle to show viewers what she is really like and can’t wait to learn more about her campmates, being perfectly happy to become the mum of the camp if needed.

The one thing she can’t stop thinking about is the possibility of big spiders crawling over her while she sleeps.

White said: “I can be sat with someone at dinner who I don’t know and I love to find out lots about them. There is nothing wrong with getting to know people. I love to listen and I like consoling people.

“I love music, dancing and clubbing and I want to show I am just a regular girl from south London who reads the news.”

Chris Moyles

Radio broadcaster Chris Moyles knows going into the jungle is going to be a big challenge, especially with his fear of heights.

Having been approached to be a contestant on the show before, Moyles still isn’t sure what made him say yes this time.

Moyles isn’t used to going outside of his comfort zone and doesn’t like scaring himself, but as a big fan of the show, he knows what to expect and has heard it’s a great time.

“I am petrified of heights and getting into camp will be a massive challenge for me,” said Moyles.

He added: “Even that rickety rope bridge makes my heart start going. I have ever jumped out of a plane or walked out on a plank on a high rise building before and I know I have got to suck it all up.”

Jill Scott

England Lioness Jill Scott helped the Lionesses lift the Women’s Euro trophy in July before retiring from football.

Scott is excited to become part of a different team and is looking forward to meeting new people.

“I will help people if they are having a bad day. Everyone has got a story to tell and I love being part of a team. Hopefully we can create a good camp,” Scott said.

Scott played professionally for Sunderland, Everton and Manchester City and although she hasn’t met Ant and Dec yet, she knows they are Newcastle fans so thinks she will get some stick from them.

Scott added: “I am intrigued as to how I will react in the trials. I don’t like rats or snakes and if I had to be underground that would be scary. That is literally like being buried alive.”

Babatunde Aléshé

Comedian Babatunde Aléshé confesses he is terrified of everything and is ready to do a lot of screaming in the jungle.

It took a few attempts to convince Aléshé to take part in the show because the thought of rats, snakes and cockroaches being poured over him horrified him.

“I am not looking forward to any trials but in terms of the one I am dreading the most, I saw one where someone was lying in a box and they put things into the box like snakes and mice. Now that would freak me out. I think I will lose it.” he admitted.

Olivia Attwood

TV personality Olivia Attwood is a former Love Islander and ITV2 presenter and didn’t hesitate to take part in the series seeing it as the “crème de la crème” of all shows.

Attwood can’t wait to use the experience to have a digital detox break from Instagram and show viewers she isn’t as high maintenance as she appears.

“One of the things that will be nice will be to show a different side to me. I think people think I am high maintenance and I will struggle without make-up and nails but I am not that bothered and I think that might surprise people. I am happy to muck in,” said Attwood.

She added: “I do a lot of social media and I spend a crazy amount of time on my phone. My phone causes me stress. We are all prisoners to our phones and so it will be so nice to have this time in life where you are digitally disconnected for three weeks. It’s going to be great to be completely immersed in the jungle environment and I am excited to see what I can do.”

Matt Hancock

MP and former health secretary Matt Hancock is a surprise addition to this year’s show.

His decision to enter the jungle caused him to lose his Tory whip and has been suspended from the parliamentary Conservative Party.

The West Suffolk MP promises that he hasn’t “lost his marbles” and turned down the opportunity twice before having a “change of heart.”

Hancock defended his choice and said it was “a great opportunity to talk directly to people who aren’t always interested in politics.”

Adding that it was important to “go to where the people are – not to sit in ivory towers in Westminster.”

He also wanted to use the show as a platform to raise awareness of dyslexia.
