New images have been released for the upcoming comedy-horror series Wreck, written by Ryan J. Brown.
Set aboard The Sacramentum cruise ship, the tense slasher comedy follows 20-year-old new recruit Jamie as he attempts to infiltrate a crew of 3000 people to find his missing sister. While working aboard the same vessel on a previous tour, she mysteriously vanished mid charter.
Swiftly initiated into cruise life, Jamie is given a crash course on the tribes within the staff: the theatre kids, the mafias, the low-paid workers. Life is an odyssey of partying and excess for the underpaid and overworked crew. As a result, a bloodthirsty murderer has free reign to kill unnoticed. Jamie is forced to turn detective and uncover the sinister truth.
The series stars Oscar Kennedy (Ladhood) as Jamie, Thaddea Graham (The Irregulars) as Vivian, Jack Rowan (Noughts + Crosses) as Danny, Harriet Webb (I May Destroy You) as Karen, and Jodie Tyack (The Window) as Pippa.
Also joining the cast will be newcomers Louis Boyer as Sam, Anthony Rickman as Olly, Amber Grappy as Lauren, Diego Andres as Jerome, Peter Claffey as Cormac, Miya Ocego as Rosie, Warren James Dunning as Beaker, Ramanique Ahluwalia as Lily and Alice Nokes as Sophia.
The series will premiere at London’s Fright Fest on 26 August, before launching on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer later this autumn.
