Drag Race UK’s Blu Hydrangea challenges two aspiring stitchers to create outfits on a budget as tight as the timescale. They have 12 hours to complete their creations, inspired by legendary looks from fashion, film, TV and cosplay, before modelling them on a runway.

Game of Thrones costume designer Michele Clapton is on hand to offer her Emmy award-winning expertise.

Life After Life

Thomasin McKenzie stars in an adaptation of Kate Atkinson’s best-selling, time-bending novel, Life After Life.

One night in 1910, Ursula Todd (McKenzie) dies during childbirth to Sylvie and Hugh (Fleabag’s Sian Clifford and James McArdle). But on that same night, she is reborn and survives, going on to live and die, time and time again, through a turbulent era that spans two world wars. A thrilling drama that begs the question: can a perfect life ever be lived?

Better Call Saul

The beginning of the end of the worthy prequel to Breaking Bad, which traces the moral declines of lawyer Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) and retired policeman Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks).

Series five of Better Call Saul ended with a bombshell role reversal, as Kim (Rhea Seehorn) channelled her inner Saul Goodman to hatch an evil plot that would forcibly resolve the Sandpiper case by sabotaging Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian). Whether she’ll follow through remains to be seen, but we do know that it’ll all end Bad­-ly.

Speaking of which, Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jessie Pinkman (Aaron Paul) are due any moment now.

Brooklyn 99

Wednesday

The eighth and final series of hit cop sitcom Brooklyn 99 sees the writers grapple with police brutality in the States as Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) quits her police career in the wake of the George Floyd protests. Now working as a private investigator, she reluctantly teams up with Jake (Andy Samberg) who is determined to prove he’s one of ‘the good ones’.

Elsewhere, Amy (Melissa Fumero) returns to the NYPD squad from maternity leave and tries to rekindle her friendship with Holt (Andre Braugher).

Chivalry

Thursday

Channel 4, 10pm

This new comedy series by Sarah Solemani and Steve Coogan promises to explore gender politics in the #MeToo era of the film and TV industries. Solemani plays the indie-darling film maker Bobby Sohrabi, who is tasked by a smart studio executive Jean Shrill (Wanda Sykes) to take over as the director of a problematic movie produced by Cameron O’Neill (Coogan), as the threat of cancel culture looms large.

The series also stars RTS Breakthrough winner Adjani Salmon (Dreaming Whilst Black) as Bobby’s husband Aston, Lolly Adefope (Ghosts) as Cameron’s ambitious new assistant Ama, and Sienna Miller (The Loudest Voice) as Lark, the powerful lead actress of Cameron’s film.
