The series will be hosted by Dirty Dancing superfan Keith Lemon and Heart FM host and Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, with dance expertise from creative director of Dream Boys Jordan Darrell. 

Ten famous faces will move into a picturesque lakeside location, a British copy of the original Kellermans resort, where their dancing abilities will be put to the test. 

The celebrities taking part are presenter Anthea Turner, Blue’s Lee Ryan, TOWIE’S James Argent, Reality TV star Marine Simpson, social media star and TV personality Saffron Barker, comedian Darren Harriott, comedian Verona Rose, former Goggleboxer and performer Tom Malone Jr, teacher, author and celebrity quizzer Bobby Seagull and actress Chelsee Healey.

The celebrities will form couples and take part in challenges and dance routines based on the iconic scenes from the film to try and become the modern-day Baby and Johnny. 

Only one couple can win the competition and they will need to channel the characters from the classic as they learn and perform the routines inspired by moments from the film.

However, will they have the strength for the lake lift, balance for the log dance and skills to carry a watermelon?

The eight-part series will end in the showstopping final dance of the season, where the two top couples will show how far they have come and perform the famous gravity-defying lift. 

The Real Dirty Dancing will air on E4 February 2022.
