Production Award
With our focus on cutting edge technology its often easy to forget about other team members who are not involved in technical advances, sales and marketing. Our Production Hero category acknowledges and recognises this group of unsung production heroes.

The nominee doesn’t have to be technical, but must demonstrate something they have done, or continue to do, that helps make their organisation stand out. It might be supporting other members of the team, so they can do their own jobs better or going the extra mile to help improve customer satisfaction.

Thames Valley RTS understands the significant contribution all members of a business play in the broadcast and media technical community and are offering an award for best “Production Hero”.

Creative Technology Award
The RTS Thames Valley Centre believes that production ‘magic’ happens when creative and technology teams work well together.  The winner of this award will be an individual who has consistently demonstrated an ability to bring the creative and technology communities together in such a way that allows television to be created that wows the audience.

The nominee could be a creative or production person who has found their way into the technology community, or could be a technologist who has become an integral part of their production community.   The judges will be looking for an outstanding individual who had made a significant contribution in their field over a number of years.

Student Technology Award
The Thames Valley has been home to the television technical, manufacturing and production industry for many years.  We are lucky that we also have a large number of world leading educational establishments in our area too.  It is these establishments that are responsible for ensuring that the Thames Valley remains a centre of excellence for our industry.

The student nominee for this award can be studying any of the disciplines represented at any of the educational establishments.   They don’t have to be technical, but must demonstrate something they have done, or continue to do, that makes them stand-out from other students. It might be supporting other members of their course or productions; it might be that they’ve shown some individual excellence or have simply gone the extra mile.

Thames Valley RTS understands the significant contribution all our education establishments play in building the future of our industry and is offering an award for “Student Technology”

Innovation Award
The RTS Thames Valley Centre believes that production ‘magic’ happens when creative and technology teams work well together.  The last 18 months have been particularly challenging for our industry as a whole, during which innovation has been key to keeping our industry alive and stopping the screens going blank.

The nominee should be an individual or organisation that has demonstrated that something they have done, or continue to do in any TV specialism, helps make their organisation stand out. It might be supporting members of the team with innovative workflows; technology solutions; new ways of story telling in a ‘Covid world’; even new ways of ensuring team members and contributors remained safe whilst at work.

Thames Valley RTS understands the significant part that innovation has had to play recently and invites nominations for the Innovation Award.

Unsung Hero Award
The RTS Thames Valley Centre has a long tradition of celebrating technology and technologists.  The last 18 months has been particularly challenging for our industry as a whole, during which many ‘Technology Heros’ have emerged.

The nominee should be an individual who has demonstrated that something they have done, or continue to do in the technology field, helps make their organisation stand out. It might be supporting other members of the team with technology solutions, so they can do their own jobs better or going the extra mile to help improve customer satisfaction.
