The RTS Programme Awards 2010 were held at Grosvenor House on Tuesday 16 March, was hosted by actor, comedian and radio presenter Rob Brydon and the awards were presented by RTS Chair, Wayne Garvie.

The RTS Programme Awards for 2004, celebrating all that is best about British television, were presented at an Awards Dinner on 16 March 2004 hosted by Jimmy Carr. Ray Gelato and The Giants provided post awards entertainment and brought a great evening to a swinging conclusion.

RTS Yorkshire Awards 2011

On the 13th of June, Yorkshire’s television community gathered The Queens Hotel in Leeds to honour another year of excellence in television.

Mike Best, chairman of the RTS-Yorkshire branch said; “There is a wealth of experience and talent in the region and the work of this year’s winners highlights that. This year’s awards were a wonderful celebration of that talent. The competition in each and every category was extremely close, which just goes to show what a wealth of creativity we have on offer in Yorkshire.”

2008 RTS Shiers Trust Award

Steve Arnold

Steve Arnold, who received the Shiers Trust Award in 2008 has been given a further grant in 2010. While researching the Radio Times Television Supplements at BBC Written Archives Steve discovered two previously unseen files containing the day-to-day paperwork of the Radio Times Television Supplement in 1936-37.
