A number of our entries from the Student Awards 2019 also won awards at the finals in London on the 28th June 2019 at BFI Southbank.
Student Television Awards 2019
Across six categories, 23 universities have received nominations having won at their respective regional RTS Student Awards earlier this year.
Now in its 24th year, the prestigious awards celebrate the best audiovisual work created by students, with an undergraduate and postgraduate winner both awarded in each category across Animation, Comedy & Entertainment, Drama, Factual, News and Short Form.
Awards were also presented in the following categories at the judges’ discretion: Camerawork, Editing, Production Design, Sound and Writing.

Craft & Design Awards 2018
The RTS Craft & Design Awards recognise excellence in broadcast television in 29 categories from Directing to Make Up Design.
The prestigious awards were presented at a ceremony hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen (Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown) on the 26th November at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

Chaired by Jane Muirhead, Managing Director of Raise The Roof Productions and hosted by STV presenter Jennifer Reoch and stand-up comedian Des Clarke, this years awards will take place at 18:00 on Wednesday 9th May at the Old Fruit Market in Glasgow.

Gareth graduated from the BBC Broadcast Engineering scheme with BEng Hons after joining as an Engineering Apprentice in 2013. Following his graduation he joined BBC Wales as a Technology Support Engineer based in Cardiff, supporting TV and Radio facilities for multiple National Radio Stations and TV programmes in both English and Welsh language. He has also been involved in the training and development of the new systems being installed due to the relocation of BBC Wales in 2019.
