Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon’s The Trip is returning to Sky Atlantic for a third series.

The multi-award-winning comedy will head to sunny Spain in its first series since leaving BBC Two.

Steve and Rob will continue on their culinary travels as they drive from the North Atlantic to the Mediterranean.

Filming later this year, the show will see the comedy duo chow down in six Spanish locales, from Cantabria to the Basque region, as well as Aragon, Rioja, Castile-La Mancha and Andalusia.

Sky’s Zai Bennett promises that “The Trip is as close to perfection as you get in comedy. It’s a rare chance to watch comic masters, totally authoring their work with creative freedom.”

The Trip to Spain will be directed by series creator Michael Winterbottom and promises food, fun and as many impersonations as the two actors can squeeze in.

Filming begins later this year. No air date has been announced.
