The double RTS Award-winner and soon-to-be Doctor Who star Lenny Rush will join the line-up of presenters for Children in Need 2023.
The three-hour fundraising extravaganza will also be hosted by ex-Bake Off presenter Mel Giedroyc, comedians Jason Manford and Chris Ramsey, and sports stars Alex Scott MBE and Ade Adepitan MBE. Lenny Rush’s new post means he will be the youngest presenter CIN has ever had.
2022’s show saw Doctor Who’s new companion exclusively revealed on stage, included segments from The Repair Shop, Blankety Blank and The Weakest Link, and featured live performances from Lewis Capaldi and Diversity. £35 million was raised for charity.
2023’s show will include sketches, live performances, and several surprises from some of the UK’s most loved stars, alongside appeal films from both the children helped by CIN and those who support them.
Lenny Rush says: “It’s an honour and a thrill to be the first child presenter for Children in Need - I can’t wait to feel the buzz of a live show and to help raise money for children and young people across the UK facing disadvantages. I’m so excited and look forward to all of you joining me!”
Children in Need will air from 7.00pm on BBC One on Friday 17 November 2023.
