Channel 4 has confirmed that hit real-life thriller series Hunted will be back for series two - with £100,000 prize money
This September saw the launch of Channel 4's unsettling reality series Hunted, in which groups of "fugitives" attempted to go off the grid and escape capture by the expert "hunters" who used surveillance technology to track them down. Audience ratings averaged 2.2million per episode, with no financial prize for any triumphant fugitives. This time, there's £100,000 up for grabs if they're able to avoid and outsmart the hunters for up to 28 days.
Channel 4's Head of Formats Dom Bird said, "The first series of Hunted truly caught the nation’s imagination, provoking real debate around the lengths we might go to in order to avoid capture in 21st century Britain. Now, with a life changing sum of money to play for, it gets serious. I can’t wait to see both the fugitives and the hunters raise their game as they battle each other’s wits to emerge triumphant.”
