Freely, the new British free-to-air streaming service succeeding Freeview, has announced that 16 new streamed channels will launch on its platform in 2025.

The channels come from ITV, Channel 4 and 5 (formerly Channel 5). ITV will launch two streamed channels, The Chase and Saturday Night Every Night. Channel 4 will be launching 4Reality – which will be home to shows like Married at First Sight 4Homes and 4Life (w/t).

The channels will launch on the Freely TV guide exclusively later in 2025.

The rest of the 16 channels come from 5. Namely, 5 GPs Behind Closed Doors, 5 Bargain Loving Brits, 5 The Yorkshire Vet, 5 History, 5 Crime, Milkshake!, 5 Police Interceptors, 5 Cops, 5 Trucking Hell, 5 A&E and 5 Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly.

"At ITV we’re proud to be part of Freely and making these channels available to the Freely TV Guide reinforces our commitment to delivering fantastic, free content,” said ITV Director of Distribution Akhila Khanna.

“The launch of new streamed channels further accelerates our transformation into the streaming age and will help keep our trusted, brand safe content free for everyone,” said Grace Boswood, Director of Technology and Distribution at Channel 4.

“We’re excited to bolster Freely’s offering with eleven new live channels, including five that will be exclusive to the platform and 5,” added Kiaran Saunders, Vice President of Distribution at 5. “Working alongside the other PSBs, we are committed to offering diverse, high-quality content that's free and accessible to everyone.”
