The dysfunctional family comedy Here We Go was a critically acclaimed hit in 2022, and the sitcom has just been commissioned for series two and three.

Shown through the youngest son, Sam’s (Jude Collie) camcorder, Here We Go details the lives of the Jessop family, played by Jim Howick (Ghosts), Alison Steadman (Gavin and Stacey), Katherine Parkinson (IT Crowd), and headed and written by Tom Basden (After Life).

The all-star cast also includes Freya Parks (The School of Good and Evil), Jude Collie (Terminator – Dark Fate), Mica Ricketts (As Dead as it Gets), and Tori Allen-Martin (London Kills).

Each episode offers a look into the lives of a family with unbeatable spirit, leaping in time between past and present. Series one saw a destroyed swimming pool, a kidnapped dog, and a sabotaged wedding; ending with Rachel (Parkinson) telling her husband Paul (Howick) that she wants to return to university, and hinting at potential romance for Robin (Basden) and Sam (Collie).

Creator Basden told The British Comedy Guide that he is “delighted to bring back the relentlessly chaotic Jessop family back to BBC one for more homespun triumphs and disasters,” and he “can’t wait to work with such a brilliant and hilarious cast once again”.

The Director of BBC comedy Jon Petrie stated “Here We Go is a hilarious and refreshing addition to the family sitcom... family. The glowing response to the first series was enough to justify two more and we can’t wait to see what the Jessop family mess up next”.

Series one is available to watch on BBC iPlayer, with series two coming later this year with seven 30 minute episodes.
