The third series of hit French political drama Spin is to make a much anticipated return to More4
Speaking at the premiere of the new series, held at the Institute Français in London, Walter Iuzzolino of Walter Presents revealed that Spin will be taking the Friday night slot in the weeks surrounding the French presidential election this year.
The series, he said, was a building block for the entire Walter Presents project. “It was the first show we bought for the UK, and it was the first show we bought for our US launch and so it’s the brick on which we built the whole thing.”
Joining Iuzzolino on stage was the star of Spin, Grégory Fitoussi, who discussed his character, the villain of the piece, Ludo Desmeuze. “He wants to be first, to be the best,” Fitoussi explained. “It’s not black or white.”
The third series will be the last for the hit show, completing the trilogy. It will have followed the rise and fall of the administration, revealed Fitoussi, “reaching power and then losing it.”
Spin will return to More4 later this year.
