E4 will be providing a youthful spin on the First Dates series with the brand-new teen edition.

The six-part series will see a group of 16-19-year olds embark on the often weird and sometimes wonderful world of dating, with their first ever face-to-face blind date.

While the Gen-Zers may not be looking to find ‘the one’, they will be able to have fun away from their phones and the pressures of social media and enjoy chatting about everything from Nicki Minaj to Brexit.

Their flirting skills may be put to the test, but more importantly the series will see the teens exploring who they are and who they want to be become, and what it takes to make a memorable connection with someone in the digital age of virtual likes and online chats.

In their new restaurant in Manchester, Maître d’ Fred Sirieix and his trusted team of Merlin, Cici and Grant will be on hand to create an unforgettable first dating experience and guide the teens through the evening.

Fred Sirieix commented: “We’re very excited to be opening the doors of our brand-new restaurant in Manchester to a clientele we've not served before – Teens! We’ll be creating a warm and welcoming space for them to meet new people and hopefully make a connection.

“Most importantly, we will be looking after them like our own and will provide a space where they can just be themselves without any distractions from the outside world, or their phones! It’s going to be so much fun and I can’t wait to get started!”
