Blue Peter legends Anthea Turner, Konnie Huq and Tim Vincent will hit the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom for a Children in Need special.

The presenters will be joined by fellow Blue Peter alumni Diane-Louise Jordan and Mark Curry, as well as current presenter Radzi Chinyanganya in a bid to win the Pudsey Glitter Ball Trophy.

Tess Daley and Claudia Winkleman will present the Strictly special, which will feature as part of the BBC Children in Need appeal night on Friday 17 November.

Having survived a whole host of Blue Peter challenges, from being strapped to a windmill, flying a fighter jet and taking part in the World Gymnastics Championships, the celebrities should be well prepared for the demands of ballroom.

Speaking about his latest adventure, Tim Vincent said, "I am in equal measure excited and terrified to be taking part, however I am sure with expert guidance and a Blue Peter badge I hopefully won't make a complete fool of myself."

Konnie Huq, Blue Peter’s longest-serving female presenter, said, "I’ve got two left feet but hopefully we’ll put them right, well one of them anyway!”

The 2017 Children in Need live appeal show will take place on Friday 17th November from 7:30pm on BBC One.
