Beloved anthropomorphic puppy Bluey will be strutting his two-dimensional stuff in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom for Children in Need.
The cartoon dog will be dancing with the professionals as part of the charity fundraising extravaganza. His partners will include Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Neil Jones, Gorka Márquez, Johannes Radebe and Michelle Tsiakkas.
The dance – set to Wilson Pickett’s “Land of 1000 Dances” – will feature easy moves to encourage viewers at home of all ages to join in. This will include the mashed potato, the alligator and the floss. People will be able to share their moves on social media using the hashtags #DanceWithBlueyChallenge and #BBCChildrenInNeed.
“Many stars have taken to the ballroom over the years but this is next level!” said Neil Jones. “I can’t think of any other better occasion for us to say g’day to Bluey than for BBC Children in Need. It’s going to be fab-blue-lous!”
Children in Need takes place from 7.00pm on Friday 15 November on BBC One and iPlayer. If that’s too long to wait, a behind-the-scenes look at Bluey’s escapades will be shown on Strictly: It Takes Two on BBC Two and iPlayer on Thursday 14 November at 6.30pm.
