The stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK are coming together for the new BBC Three series God Shave The Queens.
The eight-part documentary series will give viewers an insight into the hard graft behind the glitz and glamour of the Drag Race UK tour.
The series begins only a few days after The Vivienne won the UK’s first Drag Race and was crowned Drag Race Superstar, with all the queens working together to put on big, showstopping group performances and captivating audiences with their own individual talents, from circus skills, to power ballads.
Alyssa Edwards hosts the series, with queens The Vivienne, Baga Chipz, Divina de Campo, Cheryl Hole, Blu Hydranga, Sum Ting Wong, Vinegar Strokes, Scaredy Kat, and Gothy Kendoll performing in theatres across six major cities, including Newcastle, London, Birmingham and Manchester.
Cameras will capture all of the drama onstage and backstage and meet the queen’s closest celebrity friends and partners.
RuPaul commented: “I'm so delighted to send my first court of British queens out to the four corners of the realm - spreading their message of light, love and laughter, and sharing their sweet sensitive souls with the people.”
God Shave The Queens will begin streaming on BBC iPlayer in early November.
