The BBC has released first-look pictures for new psychological drama Dead and Buried, starring Colin Morgan (The Dead Don't Hurt) and Annabel Scholey (The Sixth Commandment).
Cathy’s (Scholey) life is turned upside down when she spots Michael (Morgan) outside a supermarket. 20 years ago, Michael was convicted for the murder of Cathy’s brother. Now out of prison on early release, Michael has managed to start a family and build a successful career, to Cathy’s horror.
In revenge, she begins a shadowy relationship with him, as part of a campaign of harassment intended to ruin his life.
Also in the cast are Niamh Walsh (The Sandman), Waj Ali (Carnival Row), Kerri Quinn (Hope Street), Michael Hanna (He’ll Have to Go), Owen Roe (Vikings) and Joanne Crawford (Blue Lights).
The four-part thriller was written by Colin Bateman and commissioned by BBC Northern Ireland and Virgin Media Television, working in association with All3Media International.
Dead and Buried will air on BBC One Northern Ireland this Autumn, when it will also be available on BBC iPlayer.
