Created, written and directed by Sam Levison, Euphoria tells the story of a group of teenagers in the town of East Highland and their experiences of sex, drugs, friendships, love, identity and trauma.

Zendaya plays 17-year-old Rue, a recovering addict trying to find her place in the world, while developing a complicated relationship with new girl in town Jules (Hunter Schafer).

Series two will see the return of Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), Maddy (Alexa Demie), Kate (Barbie Ferreira), Lexi (Mauda Apatow) and Nate (Jacob Elordi), plus newcomer Dominic Fike.

The trailer sees Rue (Zendaya) sitting in a dinner replaying the events of the series one finale in her mind.

In a voiceover, she ponders on the thought, “maybe I deserve it,” before she is interrupted by her sobriety mentor Ali (Colman Domingo), who is sitting across from her in the diner and asks, “why did you call me?”.

Series one ended with Rue finding herself alone after being too afraid to follow Jules (Hunter Schafer) to an unknown future, instead relapsing and snorting a line of cocaine.

Series one ended with Rue (Zendaya) finding herself alone after being too afraid to follow Jules (Hunter Schafer) to an unknown future, instead relapsing and snorting a line of cocaine.

Written and directed by Sam Levinson, the first special titled Trouble Don’t Last Always will bridge the gap between series one and two and follows Rue as she celebrates and copes with the Christmas period.

The first episode will air this December and more details about the second episode will be announced in due course.
