The first look trailer for the first part of the upcoming Euphoria special episodes has been released.

The trailer sees Rue (Zendaya) sitting in a dinner replaying the events of the series one finale in her mind.

In a voiceover, she ponders on the thought, “maybe I deserve it,” before she is interrupted by her sobriety mentor Ali (Colman Domingo), who is sitting across from her in the diner and asks, “why did you call me?”.

Series one ended with Rue finding herself alone after being too afraid to follow Jules (Hunter Schafer) to an unknown future, instead relapsing and snorting a line of cocaine.

Written and directed by Sam Levinson, the first special titled Trouble Don't Last Always will bridge the gap between series one and two and follows Rue as she celebrates and copes with the Christmas period.

The first episode will air on 6 December and details about the second episode will be announced at a later date.
