Sky scoops Young Technologist prizes

The audio mix technician has multiple credits across the TV genres, including Landscape Artist of the Year and Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything.

Digital media consultant Terry Marsh, who chaired the RTS Young Technologist of the Year Award Jury, said: “Tatjana’s rapid rise at Sky since joining the company less than two years ago is hugely inspiring. She has demonstrated an excellent grasp of both the production requirements and the technology involved, while also devising improvements to the technology.”

Dock10’s Andrew Ware was announced as the runner-up at a special central London event in July, hosted by digital executive producer Muki Kulhan. Ware receives the Coffey Award for Excellence in Technology. 

Wright, a graduate of the Mama Youth Project, is a user support specialist at Sky and has worked on Formula 1 and Premier League football. Chappell-Seetayah started his career at the BBC on its broadcast engineering degree apprenticeship. 

Applications are now open for the RTS Young Technologist of the Year 2022

The coveted award celebrates an outstanding engineer or technologist in the early stages of their career, highlighting the talent of those with a future in broadcast or its related industries. The RTS is now accepting submissions for the prestigious award, with entries open until 5pm on Monday 23rd May 2022.

Jahreal Wright, User Support Specialist at Sky, and Jonathan Chappell-Seetayah, IP Broadcast Project Engineer at Timeline TV, were both chosen to receive the coveted award by a panel of expert industry judges, which was chaired by Digital Media Consultant Terry Marsh.

Presented in memory of A.M Beresford-Cooke, the winners were announced at an event hosted by Muki Kulhan on Tuesday 12 July.

Dock10’s Andrew Ware was announced as runner-up and recipient of the Coffey Award for Excellence in Technology.
