RTS FUTURES FESTIVAL, NOVEMBER

The RTS Futures Festival will take place from 6.30-9pm on 12th November at M Shed.

In Conversation with Patrick Holland, Controller, BBC Two

Patrick Holland joined BBC Two in July 2016 and has overseen a reinvigoration of the channel, launching a range of ambitious new shows with a variety of voices and powerful storytelling.

Recent successes include big scale factual entertainment show Race Against the World, documentary series Forensics: The Real CSI, The MisAdventures of Romesh Ranganathan and scripted content MotherFatherSon and Defending the Guilty.

Holland is keen to tell the stories that reflect the diversity of modern Britain and is committed to commissioning more regional indies.

RTS West of England and The Farm invite you to an exclusive screening of Last Breath, a feature doc described as "a sweat beaded subsea thriller" (TimeOut) made by Bristol based production talent- directors Alex Parkinson and Richard da Costa, editor Sam Rogers with post production delivered by The Farm Bristol.

This sublime RTS multi award winning comedy explores the lives of young people in modern rural Britain, focusing on cousins Kerry and Kurtan and their home in the Cotswolds. Written by and starring siblings Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper and filmed in Gloucestershire, it has been described as ‘perfection’ (The Guardian) and ‘hilarious and heartbreaking’ (Radio Times).
