Join us for our Virtual Careers Fair two-day event on Tuesday 1st & Wednesday 2nd February 2022. Get all the latest tips, tricks and practical advice to help you land that all important first job in TV, learn about the different jobs and schemes out there and network with the most influential creatives in the business! 

Take part in the CV Clinic & Career Advice area where you can get your CV tweaked by industry professionals. Within this area we will have 8 tables per hour dedicated to CV tips and advice and a number of Career Advice tables for those who just need some general advice. These sessions will take place within the platform. This area is an all-day advice hub that gives attendees the chance to network with industry professionals of all different levels. Find out who they are, what their job entails and how they got their start.

The event will include interactive exhibitor booths which allow companies to speak to you in real time via live chat and video. There will even be a chance to network with other attendees during the event. 

We will also have live webinar sessions running over the two days. A list of sessions will be listed below as they are announced.

How I Got Into TV Through a Talent Scheme

11.45am – 12.30pm

Are you looking to work in TV? Seeking your first role in journalism or production? Apprenticeships and talent schemes are an opportunity to learn, get valuable work experience and make that break into the career you’re dreaming of. In this session, we’ll hear from those whose feet are firmly in having made the most of one of the early careers schemes.

Entertainment Masterclass: From the Villa to the Jungle

With key creative talent from both Love Island and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, this session will look at how these shows successfully retain audiences year on year. The session will focus on three key teams – Casting Team, Challenge Team and Story Team.

Anatomy of a BBC ONE Hit Comedy - How to develop and shoot a multi-generational sitcom  

3.30pm – 4.15pm

All filmed by their youngest son, the Jessops' doggedly attempt some quality family time despite the best efforts of a global pandemic to pull them apart. In this session, chaired by BBC Studios Comedy Talent Executive Carrie Britton, producer Tom Jordan and actors Jim Howick and Jude Collie reveal just how they did it.
