From tasting the food of Marrakech to real life hospital stories, here are our TV picks of the week.
Murder in the Car Park
Monday 15th June

Four years in the making, the three-part documentary Murder in the Car Park tells the story of the most investigated unsolved murder handled by the Metropolitan Police.
It started on the 10th March 1987 when private investigator Daniel Morgan was murdered by someone using an axe in a South London pub car park.
With no witnesses, the murder still remains unsolved after 33 years and has cost £30 million.
With so much time and money having been spent, the case has been plagued with accusations of police corruption, and covert operations.
The documentary takes a look at court testimonies, archive footage and interviews with key people involved with the case, including Morgan’s business partner and family.
An independent inquiry established by parliament is set to give a report in the next few months, but will the case ever be solved and justice served.
24 Hours in A&E
Tuesday 16th June
Channel 4, 9pm
Everyday hospital staff are faced with life and death situations and in 24 Hours in A&E, cameras capture those real-life stories.
From minor injuries, to laughable accidents, to life threatening causalities, cameras capture the emotional moments between patients, friends and family and hospital staff.
Now on its twenty-first series, the fly on the wall documentary is filmed in St George’s Hospital in London, one of the busiest A&E departments in the UK.
The first episode follows the story of two motorcyclists who may have suffered life changing injuries, when one crashes into a central reservation and the other into a car at 40mph.
Remarkable Places to Eat
Thursday 18th June
BBC Two, 8pm
Designed to make your taste buds tingle, Remarkable Places to Eat sees world renowned chefs take host Fred Sirieix to a special restaurant where they love to eat.
The chefs explain what makes the place so special to them and some of the best things to get on the menu.
The opening episode sees chef Andi Oliver take Sirieix to Marrakech to explore the different places and flavours the city has to offer.
My Brilliant Friend
Friday 19th June
Sky Atlantic, 9pm
Based on the novels by Elena Ferrante, series one of My Brilliant Friend introduced viewers to Lila (Gaia Girace) and Elena (Margherita Mazzucco), two smart girls growing up in poverty in Naples in the 1950s.
The series looks at the importance and struggles of female friendship while trying to grow up in a world that sees marriage as the only end goal for women, with little value placed on their independence and intelligence.
At the end of series one, Lila had just married Stefano (Giovanni Amura) and series two shows how that has irrevocably changed her, whereas for Elena, love has evaded her deciding instead to focus on her studies.
The second series sees the pair face the highs and lows of adulthood, while trying not to lose themselves in the process.
The Politician
Friday 19th June
Netflix
Series two of the Ryan Murphy comedy drama The Politician sees college student Payton (Pen Platt) preparing to unseat senate majority leader Dede Standish (Judith Light) in the New York State senate race.
Payton has always had his sights set on a political career and now he is ready to get his first taste of power.
However, getting elected won’t be an easy journey and Payton’s own mother Georgina (Gwyneth Paltrow) makes a decision that could threaten to derail his budding career.
