BBC One has announced the return of The Real Marigold Hotel for a fourth series.
This year’s four-part series will feature actress Britt Ekland, Dragons’ Den star Duncan Bannatyne, fashion designer Dame Zandra Rhodes, Chuckle Brother Paul Chuckle, cricket commentator Henry Blofeld, EastEnders actor John Altman, actress Susie Blake, and singer Barbara Dickson.
The travel documentary series was inspired and named after the film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and follows elderly celebrities as they test out retirement in India.
This year’s edition will see the group explore the colourful culture of the cities of Puducherry and Rishikesh while reflecting on their careers and personal lives.
David Clews, Twofour’s (producers of the series) Creative Director and Executive Producer for The Real Marigold Hotel brand, said: “Household names combined with royalty from the creative industries all promise to see hearts open and some unlikely friendships blossom.
"Our cast members deliver a journey of reflection and warmth, with laugh out loud adventures and life changing results.”
The fourth series of The Real Marigold Hotel starts 30 April on BBC One.
