Sky has released a first look image from the new series of RTS award-winning drama Save Me.
Save Me Too follows the return of estranged father Nelly (Lennie James), seventeen months after his unsuccessful search for his missing daughter Jody.
Challenged to re-evaluate his life decisions, Nelly’s search forced him to take dangerous risks that dragged him into a dark underworld that trafficks kidnapped youngsters including Jody.
RTS award-winner Lesley Manville (World on Fire) will join the cast as Jennifer Charles, the wife of shady figure Gideon (Adrian Edmondson).
Shortly after the return of Grace (Olive Gray), a vulnerable child whom Nelly rescued, Charles is pressured to make a difficult decision that will push her into conflict with Nelly.
Suranne Jones (Gentleman Jack) will reprise her role as Jody’s mother, Claire, who faces her horrific daughter’s fate.
Alongside Jones, Stephen Graham (The Virtues) will return as Melon, who attempts to build a new life with his partner, Bernie (Alice Feetham), after his historic dealings with the underworld were revealed.
Also returning to join the cast are Thomas Coombes (Hatton Garden) as Goz, Kerry Godliman (After Life) playing Teens, Nadine Marshall (The End of the F***ing World) as Detective Inspector O'Halloran, Susan Lynch (Killing Eve) playing Stace and Jason Flemyng (Pennyworth) as Tam.
Line of Duty and Bodyguard creator World Productions will produce the series for Sky, with the first season available to watch on Sky and NOW TV.
Save Me Too will air on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in 2020.
