BBC One has announced new music quiz show Playlisters hosted by Rochelle and Marvin Humes.
The show will see three couples every week guessing the song and artists of pop tracks in an effort to win the £10,000 prize.
Each segment will have popular songs from a variety of pop styles, dating from the sixties to the present day.
“This is our first standalone show together and the fact it’s a format based on our love of music makes it all the more rewarding,” commented Rochelle and Marvin on their new roles.
“We frequently put each other’s knowledge to the test at home, so we cannot wait to see how the contestants get on.”
The married couple have presented several programmes since leaving their bands (The Saturdays and JLS), recently appearing on Children In Need. Rochelle Humes is also currently guest hosting This Morning in Holly Willoughby’s place.
Controller Entertainment Commissioning at the BBC Kate Phillips added that “[she] can’t think of a better way to kick off Saturday nights. Hosted by the deeply competitive Rochelle and Marvin Humes, it’ll have everyone at home shouting out the answers and singing along.”
Playlisters will air on BBC One next year.
