Little Mix will search for the next big band in new BBC One talent series.

Little Mix The Search will see Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock become mentors to a new generation of talented singers and form new all-female, all-male or mixed bands.

From contestants to judges, The X Factor winners will also be joined by their inner circle of song writers, producers, stylists and vocal coaches who have contributed to their success.

The new groups will live together and be given the opportunity to win the prize of performing alongside Little Mix on their UK summer tour in 2020.

“We want to create lots of incredible groups who really gel,” said Little Mix.

“As we have been there and done it ourselves, we know what it takes to make a group successful, and will be there to mentor them every step of the way.”

“We want solo artists to audition as well as groups and every type of genre is welcome too.”

The seven-part series will be produced by ModestTV for BBC One and was commissioned by Charlotte Moore, director of BBC Content.

Moore commented: “One of Britain’s most popular all-female bands Little Mix will bring their magic to BBC One on Saturday nights in 2020 in a brand new show set to inspire the next generation of young artists.”

Little Mix The Search will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2020.
