Paloma Faith and Ben Bailey Smith (aka Doc Brown) star in Disney Channel’s new animation series 101 Dalmatian Street inspired by Walt Disney’s 1961 classic 101 Dalmatians.
Set in 21st century London in the borough of Camden, the comedy follows eldest siblings Dylan and Dolly, parents Douglas and Delilah and the 97 younger puppies.
Actor and comedian Ben Bailey Smith will voice Spencer Sausage Dog, the side-kick of Portia Poodle, voiced by the singer Paloma Faith.
“I’m voicing a poodle who is dark, intense has tons of attitude. She is pretty much the coolest pup in Camden Town and loves taking centre stage when drama happens,” said Paloma Faith of her new role.
“Portia is hugely entertaining to voice and just one of many wonderful and colourful characters.”
Voicing the eldest Dalmatian siblings are Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Dylan and Michaela Dietz (Steven Universe) as Dolly.
Miriam Margoyles (Harry Potter) will guest star as Bessie the Cornish Cow in a special summer holiday episode.
Ben Bailey Smith added, “It’s been incredibly fun getting into character. I am thrilled to be part of this brand-new Disney Channel animated series and look forward to seeing the audience’s response to this new take on a beloved Disney classic.”
Walt Disney's classic 101 Dalmatians was released in 1961 and was based on Dodie Smith's novel of the same name.
101 Dalmatian Street will launch in spring 2019 on Disney Channel.
