Netflix show Grace and Frankie will be returning for a fourth series.

The show, which stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as the titular Grace and Frankie, follows two divorced 70-somethings whose mutual hatred gets put on hold when their husbands come out as gay.

The pair are forced into living together when their ex-husbands, played by Sam Waterston (The Newsroom) and Martin Sheen (The West Wing), decide to get married, and an unlikely friendship blossoms as the duo seek to navigate the next stage of their lives.

The announcement comes just weeks after Netflix released series three, which saw Grace and Frankie launch a business selling sex toys to older women with arthritis.

Joining the series is Friends star Lisa Kudrow, who will be guest-starring as Sheree, Grace’s long-time manicurist, whose friendship with Grace ruffles Frankie’s feathers and threatens to drive the duo apart.

The series will reunite Kudrow with Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman, who also co-created the Netflix comedy.

Brooklyn Decker, Baron Vaughn Ethan Embry and June Diane Raphael also star in the show as Grace and Frankie’s children.

Although Netflix does not release viewing data, the show has been a well-received, with both Fonda and Tomlin receiving award nominations for their roles in the show.

The new series is expected to air in Spring 2018.
